Operations

MOSES operates with a staff of approximately 30 volunteers. It is administered by a volunteer Executive Director working with the Board of Directors  We work in  partnership with individuals, businesses, educational and non-profit organizations to address  various needs within the community. To date we have sponsored both Men’s and Women’s Health Fairs; a Breast Cancer Awareness Tea; a Tutorial Program; a Teen  Pregnancy  and HIV Prevention Program; and a Multi-Age Girl Scout Troop.  

In May 2010, MOSES partnered with Three Square to operate a food pantry. Food is distributed on a weekly basis to people in need. To avoid waste, a client choice program is utilized for distribution. Currently, we service over 300 households weekly. Since our inception, we have distributed over 4 million pounds of food to seniors, veterans, disabled and needy families in our community.  

Among the awards we have received for our work are the 2012 Urban Chamber of Commerce Non-Profit of the Year Award; 2016 Three Square Agency Partner of the Quarter Award; and 2018 Three Square Agency Partner of the year.
